For over a decade, Foggy the Dog has been more than just a cuddly companion; he’s been a globetrotting force for good. With purpose, he’s zipped across the Atlantic, lounged by a pool in Mexico and inspired a whole new group of “Foggy Followers” stateside. He’s ventured to the stunning landscapes of South Africa, charming everyone he met. Of course, he’s a regular on the UK travel scene, from the bustling streets of London to the serene countryside, all while raising an incredible amount of money and awareness for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (M.E.).
His adventures have always been about connection, bringing people together to support a cause that deeply matters to Foggy and his P.A. But as many of you know, Foggy’s international travels came to a reluctant halt last summer. The logistics of sending him across continents and the challenges of finding human travel companions have made those long-distance escapades just too difficult and expensive (postage costs are ridiculous now!).
But while Foggy may have put his passport away for a little while, his mission is far from over.
Team Foggy is as dedicated as ever to raising money for M.E. research and spreading awareness about this devastating illness. We’re incredibly proud of the progress we’ve made, but we know there’s so much more to do. We believe the next chapter of Foggy’s journey lies not in how far he can travel, but in how deeply he can engage with our community.
This is where we need your help. We’re looking for new and exciting ways to continue Foggy’s mission, and we’re open to all new ideas! Could Foggy launch a new line of products inspired by his past travels? Could he host virtual events, bringing his globetrotting spirit to an online stage? Or perhaps we could start a new kind of challenge that connects people from all over the world, even if Foggy can’t be there ‘in person’. As a social enterprise, we’re open to evolving our structure if it means we can make a bigger impact.
If you have a passion for our cause and workable ideas for Foggy’s next chapter, we want to hear from you. We’re specifically looking for people with a creative and constructive mindset who are ready to roll up their sleeves and help us think outside the box.
We know that M.E. can make communication challenging, so we won’t be relying on endless email chains. Instead, Foggy’s PA, Sally, will be forming a small working group to discuss and develop these new ideas. We’ll be setting clear boundaries and structure for this group to ensure that this initiative is sustainable for everyone involved, especially for those with M.E. who might have limited energy (including me!). Our goal is to make it possible for everyone to participate, including those with severe M.E., and we’ll be happy to make special arrangements to support you.
This is a chance to collaborate and help Foggy continue to be awesome in a way that is sustainable and impactful. Let’s keep the momentum going and continue to make a difference, together.
